College of Applied Health Sciences

The College of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) works with underrepresented students who are interested in admissions to the following Health Sciences Programs: Rehabilitation Sciences, Kinesiology, Health Information Management, Nutrition, Biomedical Visualization, Disability Studies and Human Development, Occupation Therapy, Physical Therapy and etc.  Our mission is to increase underrepresented minority student enrollment in all the AHS programs.  We recruit students from all academic levels.  We visit schools, churches and youth programs to expose students to our various careers by delivering presentations, providing classroom demonstrations and allowing prospective students to visit our college.  AHS Urban Health Program staff assists students in the admissions process, provides academic advising and career counseling.  If you are interested in learning more about the program, please feel free to contact:
